trAndeS – Advanced Studies on Inequalities and Sustainable Development
trAndeS is a structured postgraduate program (master and Ph.D.), based in Lima, Peru at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), in cooperation with the Latin American Institute (LAI) of the FU Berlin. trAndeS promotes a study program for master, doctorate and postdoctorate students. The candidates in the program, both from PUCP and FU Berlin, work on research projects that deal with relevant issues pertaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations, and the possibilities and challenges of their implementation in Latin America. The center of the teaching and research activities in this project is to analyze the relationship between social inequalities and sustainable development in the Andean region.
Through a Transandean Sustainability Network, trAndeS brings together experts throughout the region to create links and promote joint experiences between regions different universities and institutions, so this may strengthen the scientific debate about sustainable societies.
