The Latin America Institute of the Freie Universität Berlin supports the German-Colombian Peace Institute (CAPAZ) within the frame of Teaching and Research Focus: Colombia. 

Teaching and Research: Colombia brings together the teaching activities and existing research projects that deal with various aspects of Colombia. The Latin America Institute (LAI) is working on different aspects of Colombia’s history and present, in all six disciplines and in interdisciplinary projects.
