Project: "Another virus came to "the corner": a life course analysis of trans* women sex workers in public and digital space at the juncture of the pandemic"
Supervisor:
Dr. Georgina Rojas, CIESAS
This project analyzes the life course and trajectories of trans* women sex workers in Mexico City who have recently been affected by the social and health situation of the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic. The lives of these women, already precarious, have found substantial turns in the new forms of interaction and survival. Their family and work trajectories and changes in gender identity, as well as the practical strategies they have had throughout their lives in the past, in the present and the projections they have for the future is what is studied in this project.
