Dr. Carmen Ibáñez, Postdoctoral Fellow at the IRTG "Temporalities of Future" is receiving start-up funding to study the social gender construction in indigenous societies in the Andean region. The Spotlight Program supports young female scientists in order to encourage gender equality, motivate women in the scientific field and to increase the number of female scientists.
