Dr. Ibañez's research project "Busqueda de convivencialidad entre desigualdades epistémicas: lo indígena como categoría temporal" was deemed excellent by Mecila in a very competitive selection process and shall take place in São Paulo, Brazil from March 1 to November 30, 2024.

Mecila is one of five international centres for advanced studies in the humanities and social sciences funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in cooperation with local institutions and funding agencies.
