Since 2002, the Institute for Latin American Studies has promoted the concept of learning communities. This means that we enable new forms of collective knowledge production which strengthen the cooperation between instructors and students. New findings are discussed in the seminars, courses and field research and made available to a wider audience through the use of new media.
